Projector cleaning - what we do

Projector Cleaning

The nature of a competitive market is controlled by the perception of the customer receiving value for money for the service they are given; not what the service provider thinks he can get away with. With the current wide disparity in pricing prevalent in the market place, we feel it may be helpful to describe the process involved in cleaning a projector.

Step 1

Plug in and test to assess the problem. E.g.
a. Is there a picture.
b. Any error messages.
c. Check for coloured patches.
d. Examine bulb carefully for cracks or distortions.

Step 2

Remove covers and check for the areas of dust.
Record type and location of all screws etc.
Vacuum all accessible filters and fans

Step 3

Assuming there are patches;
Partially dismantle the optic system
Inspect all optical filters and LCD panels for dirt
Dismantle and clean accessible parts

Step 4

4. Re-assemble sufficiently to project an image
Replace bulb if necessary
Check again for coloured patches
